The 4 C’s To Happy Hammock’s Living
When asked ,"Why do you love living in the Hammocks Apartments?" I respond with a couple simple adjectives: it’s comfortable, it’s clean, it’s convenient, and there’s a sense of a community. The 4 C’s, I have discovered are the equation for happy apartment living. (C+C+C+C= happy Hammocks resident)
Transplanting to Buffalo from Oregon, 5 years ago, was a huge move a crossed the country. The Hammocks has been the first and only place I have chosen to call home. The reasons for this are clear. It’s comfortable. These apartments have white walls, new appliances, updated carpets, and all the features you find in newly build homes. The vaulted ceilings, fireplaces, and spacious rooms have made me feel like I have been living in a top notch condominium. My favorite part of the floor plan is the convenience of the counter space in the kitchen. I often find my self stooped at the bar area which I find is a cozy place to do my work and eat meals.
Not only is it a place of top comfort but the complex itself is also very clean. The grounds often smell of freshly cut grass and have speedy snow removal after a winter storm hits. The grounds are meticulous, in any season. The view of the pond, the light up fountain, and the wooded areas on the grounds filled with deer leaves me with such a tranquil calmness as walk half-mile loop around the complex.
As for convenience, some say location, location, location is key. The Hammocks is within walking distance from many food options including Tim Horton’s , Moe’s Mexican food (my favorite) ,Taffy’s (with millions of milkshakes!), Wendy’s, Denny’s, and Arby’s. If you need you need to do a quick grocery or gas run Tops Market is super close. The village of Orchard Park is only 2.5 miles down the road as well, if your looking for more dining and shopping. ( May favorite Black House, White Market is 2 miles away if I need a quick quality dress for an outing.) There is a 24 hour clubhouse and office that is kept spotless. I often drop in to grab coffee or use the computer workstation. The clubhouse the perfect, quiet place to escape to in order to get some work done. I love being active and here they provide pool, and a workout room where you can find me on the elliptical most evenings. I save a lot of money on gym memberships because I go to the clubhouse at least once a day.
Lastly, the community has been a main reason why I haven’t moved in over 4 years. The property manager, staff and maintenance are easily accessible and always cordial and caring. They act professional but honestly show understanding and care for the residents. There is even a family of ducks we have adopted into our little community. A huge selling point was the poliete and friendly neighbors that I run into. In the clubhouse gym, it’s crazy to say, but I have made a couple of people I can call my friends. Walking around the complex at night make me thankful for the Hammock’s community and grateful for all the amenities they provide.
With the 4 C’s in mind I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND calling the Hammocks your home. After looking at numerous places in Buffalo and its surrounding suburbs the Hammocks is the newest, most modern out of all of the apartment or condos I looked at.
My apartment is gorgeous and every person that walks in here comments on its beauty.Hammocks is the epitome of happy apartment living.

Why I Love Living at The Hammocks at Orchard Park
It’s the PEOPLE …
I have lived at The Hammocks since first moving to Buffalo. The Hammocks was the only complex that I looked at – the apartments were spacious, your own private entrance and laundry room were a big plus, the pool and workout room were handy. I would be only 4 miles to work - convenience seemed to be the biggest selling point!
Now, six years later, the biggest selling point is the PEOPLE! I have met some wonderful individuals and families while living here. Some have moved on (and we keep in touch) but most of them are still here. We are a NEIGHBORHOOD – we spend time together, watch out for each other and take care of each other in times of need. My Hammocks neighbors are more than friends … they are my extended family.
The Hammocks is home … Barb
The first time we drove into the Hammocks apartments in the year 2007, we knew it was the place to live- for us. The buildings were nice looking, the landscape beautiful, the park-like setting with the pond (and the fountain!) was classy! My wife and I checked it out for almost two years. We had a plan to sell our home in 2009. Once we sold the house we came right to the Hammocks and set up to get an apartment. Once I received the key and moved in, we knew it was better than I though- peace and quiet! Now that we are here, we have met nice people/ Neighbors, management, and maintenance workers, all have been nice. Also, now that I am retired, I have been working out more- walking, running and weight room- to prolong my life for many years- at the Hammocks! Paul
There are many reasons why I love living at The Hammocks at Orchard Park. As a new mother, I enjoy taking my daughter for daily strolls. The grounds are lovely and very well kept. I can always count on seeing the smiling face of a friendly neighbor or staff member. I truly feel a sense of community here. I honestly can’t say that about other complexes that I’ve lived in.
The proximity of the Hammocks to stores, the village and other attractions make the location optimal. I love that I can leisurely walk to the store and pick up a few groceries for the evening’s dinner. Even though the Hammocks is located closely to many amenities and attractions, it doesn’t feel over developed. I enjoy seeing birds, deer and other woodland animals living in their carefully preserved natural habitat.
On a practical note, my family and I were relieved to learn that we could bring our brand new washer/dryer with us from our previous home. We live in spacious comfort, enjoying pleasant views from every window year round. The Hammocks at Orchard Park is home to my family and I. We are very happy and proud to be part of such a lovely community.

I've been a Hammocks resident for over 3 years now and I can tell you honestly that every time I step outside my door, I am taken with the beauty of the white pillared buildings, the smell of the trees and freshly cut grass, the woods where I can always catch a glimpse of a deer. I always thank God again for finding me this place to live.
I found the Hammocks because I was always passing the sign on my way to work and when I decided to move to Orchard Park to be closer to my job, I drove in one day to have a look. I couldn't believe my eyes!! The grass so green, every bush clipped, the lake with geese swimming along, the modern white pillared building with brick all looked new, people were walking along and biking, it was a little piece of heaven!! I said to myself, "This must cost a fortune and have a waiting list." Oh, but I couldn't forget it and I just had to try! And now here I am living my dream life in my dream home!!
All seasons look beautiful at The Hammocks, but my favorite is summer. My days are spent lounging at the pool, walking by the lake and taking pictures of the ducks and geese. This year the geese had seven babies and I've watched them grow. At night I enjoy sitting on my patio in my swing, looking at the stars and listening to the crickets sing. Summer seems so short to my, but living here, I enjoy it to the max!
Another thing that stands out to me are the people, not only the staff that treats us like family, but the residents as well. The Hammocks seems to attract such wonderful, friendly neighbors. Strangers smile and wave as if they have known you all their life. When the Hammocks give one of it's many parties, I love to go because everybody is so friendly. You can fit in easily, not feel shy. My favorite party is Halloween because we get pizza and I get to see all of the kids costumes. The kids can even Trick or Treat safely because the staff forms everybody in a group. It seems the staff try to think of everything to make us happy.
What I brag about alot to my friends and family besides all of this, is the maintenance. Winter is my hardest time. The snow is deep, the ice is slippery and I always worried about myself and my car in other places I have lived. But I don't worry here!! My walk is always shoveled with salt put everywhere and I don't wait long for my car to get plowed out. We've had some terrible storms since I moved here but with such a reliable staff, I'm never late for work!! And when something goes wrong in my home, all I need to do is call and they come the same day!!! I never had that any place else. They come with a smile, they're always pleasant and it's fixed right the first time. Since I moved here, I just relax and enjoy. Just like laying in a Hammock!!!
This place had everything for me and I intend to stay as long as they'll have me. If they had a twenty year lease, I'd sign it now without hesitation because even that far down the road, I know I'm still going to feel the same as I feel now, truly blessed to live here!! Joanne
My husband and I moved to the Hammocks at Orchard Park in August of last year. From the moment we entered the grounds, we knew this place was different. This wasn’t just another apartment complex (of which we had seen many!). The Hammocks was a community. Charming gardens welcomed us into a park-like setting that was wholly unexpected nestled so close to the shopping, entertainment, and restaurants of Orchard Park. What I remember most about our first drive through the Hammocks was how we were waved to by at least five of the residents. We weren’t even a member of the community yet, though we were warmly welcomed.
There are a lot of things to love about the Hammocks. The tranquil setting. The spacious apartments overlooking the woods and green spaces. The amenities like the clubhouse, fitness center, sparkling pool, and hot tub. The way the complex recycles and maintains an eco-friendly approach to property management. The way the breeze blows through the open balcony doors and brings with it the lush smell of Autumn. The way the sounds of the nearby creek make the grounds feel like a sanctuary.
But what I love most about living at the Hammocks, what continues to impress me above all else, is the people. From the moment that ray of sunshine Darla gave us a tour, we knew that these were people who cared about their residents, the upkeep of the facilities, and the community as a whole. I had the good fortune of meeting Lenny that day as well, who was really nice and patiently answered any questions I had about maintenance. Jennifer was efficient and knowledgeable and worked with us to ensure that we found the home that was just perfect for us. All of our follow up questions and visits were met with friendliness and courtesy.
In addition to the wonderful staff, the residents who live here are a joy. The Hammocks welcome a diverse community, and I have yet to meet a single person here who wasn’t amicable and polite. It’s a lovely feeling to meet a new friend as I’m out on my morning walk. There’s a feeling of warmth as drivers exchange friendly waves and smiles as they pass one another on the road or at the recycling center. When an injured bird was found in one of the lots this past summer, four of us worked together to rescue the animal and contact the appropriate wildlife rehabilitation center. We had never met before, but it didn’t matter. The Hammocks is a true community I’ve not had the pleasure of experiencing elsewhere.
There is much to love about the Hammocks. The setting is beautiful. The apartments are spacious. The amenities are great. But the best thing about the Hammocks is the people and sense of community one finds here. It’s been an absolute pleasure to call this Home. Thank you!
Christine
I love living at the Hammocks for several reasons. After living at a sub-quality, expensive complex for years, living at the Hammocks is the apartment that lives like a home, as it has our own doorway and stairs.
My apartment is nice, quiet and large. The carpeting is comfortable and I love grilling on our balcony. There is plenty of parking and I love going to the pool in the summer time. If there is any problem I have living here, I know I can ask anyone at the clubhouse and get a fast and accurate response.
The rent is also affordable for the quality of the living spaces at the Hammocks. Lastly, I love the location of the Hammocks. It is right next to a major intersection and highway, as well as several convenient places like Tops. I am glad I live here and would totally live here until I buy a house.

There is no place like the Hammocks at Orchard Park! (And trust me, I looked all over the Buffalo area!) After living here for over a year, I couldn’t be happier to call this my home. The location is perfect, the look and feel of the complex is beautiful and the living space has everything you need. It is a quiet community where it’s enjoyable to take walks, go down to the pool during the summer ...or appreciate that you don’t have to shovel snow during the winter! The staff at the leasing office are very friendly and helpful at anytime. There is not much more you could ask for, maybe except for free rent, and look, they’re offering a chance for that too! There are truly no other apartments in the area that compare and that’s “why I love living at the Hammocks at Orchard Park”!

What do we love about The Hammocks at Orchard Park? There really isn’t enough paper in the world to fully answer that question. But we will do our best to summarize.
As newlyweds, we were in a rush to find an apartment that we both loved. Fortunately for us, our first stop was the beautiful Hammocks at Orchard Park. Needless to say, this ended up being our only stop.
The walk from the lobby to the model apartment with Jennifer was impressive. From the refreshing pool to the geese wading in the pond, we knew that this could easily be the place to begin our new lives together.
We were instantly amazed by the spacious dining room, living room, and kitchen. We loved the welcoming feel that it had. We could easily see ourselves watching football in the living room, baking cookies in the kitchen, and eating a romantic dinner in the dining room.
The walk down the hall was just as appealing. We instantly pictured our new bed and night stands making our bedroom come alive. The two full bathrooms and spare bedroom just added to our excitement.
Now that we’ve made The Hammocks our home, we’ve enjoyed utilizing our patio for dining and relaxing. We look forward to watching the seasons change right out our back door.
In addition to the great apartment itself, we love the prime location. Whether it is the short trip to the grocery store, finding a local market, or heading to a Bills game, there is always something nearby to do.
If we had to search for an apartment all over again, we would not hesitate to once again choose The Hammocks at Orchard Park! Sarah and Ron
The Hammocks is surrounded with loving neighbors, friendly staff, and maintenance workers. Driving through the Hammocks there is a sense of warmth and comfort while enjoying the scenic views and nature.
Also the Hammocks hosts great seasonal gatherings such as, Christmas and Halloween. It provides a safe and fun opportunity for kids and families to interact. Most of all, summer pool parties are great for meeting new neighbors!
Lastly, the maintenance and crews are always at hand; there's no need to shovel the snow or having to do yard work. The Mortimer's
I love living at "The Hammocks" becuase, to begin with, it is an attractive and neatly kept up apartment complex.
My husband and I enjoy the fact that we have no worries about the upkeep of a home. When we need things to be done, the maintenance crew are right there to help out in a very friendly manner.
We love the fact that we have our own private entrance directly to our apartment. The convenience of our own washer and dryer facilities are anoher great plus as is the brightness of the apartment. Having two bathrooms is a convenience we enjoy, especially when we have guests visiting.
The area is a safe and pleasant place to enjoy our daily walking, while the pool and physical fitness facilities are an added plus, making us feel as if we are at a resort.
To sum it up, it is easy and pleasant living in a beautiful area filled with very friendly people. Irene
A year ago in Auguest, I made one of the best decisions of my life. At 70, I was maintaining a 3000 square foot house, along with a pool and expansive gardens and grounds. I was also struggling with the maintenance of my home, which included the usual plumbing and electrical worried, landscaping, lawn care, etc... After twenty years in my home and the passing of my husband, I decided that it was too much for me. So, I began to investigate luxury apartments. I toured many, but each fell short in some regard - until I visited the Hammocks at Orchard Park.
From the first, this complex was head and shoulders above the rest. When I entered the office, I was immediately greated by the manager, who was knowledgeable, professional, and most welcoming and gave me a tour of the elegant club house facility. Equally impressive was the breathtaking park-like grounds, complete with ponds and wildlife. Immediately I felt safe, serene, and at home. The apartment I viewed was beautiful as well. Within weeks, I was a resident of the Hammocks and have not for one day regreted my decision.
For one, I love my apartment. It's open, spacious, and like new. I was able to fit almost all of my treasured belongings and decorate exactly to my taste. Equally as charming is my little oasis, my outdoor patio, complete with my electric water-fountain, solar lights, potted plants, and comfortable seating. I love to sit out on my patio and watch the occassional deer stroll by. My apartment and patio are also the perfect size for entertaining.
I knew I was leading a charmed life the first time I woke to the sound of the lawn mower meticulously cutting the grass and realized that I was no longer responsible for it. The grounds and maintenance staff here at the Hammocks is par none. They are prompt, cordial, and knowledgeable at all times. I have had to use Stan and Leonard's services several times and have never been disappointed. What a joy to have all the comforts of a home without any cares of worries!
Another added bonus at the Hammocks are the amenities - the clubhouse, pool, and workout room. I have enjoyed all three and especially like the social life cultivated by the Hammocks. Many events are sceduled throughout the year to help establish and maintain friendships thoughout the Hammocks community. The quick access to the supermarket, hairdressers, and stores is also a great convenience.
The Hammocks is luxury, stress-free living. I have enjoyed my first year immensely and look forward to many more. Fran
My husband and I recently moved into The Hammocks of Orchard Park. We are very happy that we chose to move here. The staff here is wonderful. Since the very first visit they made us feel comfortable. They helped us in the transition with moving in earlier then expected. We were so thankful. I can walk into the office and they know me by name not just an apartment number. The property here is beautiful and well kept. The apartment is perfect, clean and soundproof. We love the fact that you can see the wildlife just outside our door also. Now that fall is here the changing of the color of leaves is absolutely beautiful. We also like the fact that they supply newsletters to your home to keep you updated with information on what is happening in your community. We have no regrets moving here. We LOVE IT Darlene
Life takes us down many roads, and my latest fortunately let me to the Hammocks at Orchard Park. The girls in the office, Jenny and Darla, and Lenny and Stan, are a job, and I found camaraderie and friendship with neighbors, I had not previously known. I am very content at the Hammocks and hope only to leave when my roads end. Lynett
After selling our home of many years and looking for a suitable rental in the Buffalo area, our daughter recommended and we subsequently moved to the Hammocks of Orchard Park. We settled in to a roomy, bright and attractive Hammocks apartment in which we've been very comfortable these past four years. We are surrounded by a pleasant mix of the urban and rural and enjoy the beautifully maintained grounds, variety of wildlife and the convenience of nearby stores, most within walking distance. Along with these many creature comforts and of particular significance are the individuals who manage and maintain the Hammocks. From the beginning they have been welcoming, friendly and helpful, giving assurance that the Hammocks will continue to be the lovely place we call Home! Don and Jackie
I love living at the hammocks because when I moved in almost three years ago after losing my husband of fifty years and selling my home, I was really hesitant about doing this. But at my first coffee hour, which I dreaded, I met m any friendly people. So I thought, OK I can do this. I also found there were two friends I had gone all through school with living here. Then there's Lenny and Stan who help all of us. It may be their job but they seem more like friends who will be there when needed. Jennifer, Darla and Dayle are also always available to help. We're given the use of the community and computer rooms for our coffee hour every month and also going to lunch keeps us in touch with our neighbors which is great. Well, it's not like owning my own home, but I am so glad I decided to live at the Hammocks. Everyone is really great. There's no more snow shoveling, plowing, and cutting grass to worry about. We also have a nice exercise room to use and walking is fun and safe here. I have been very happy living here at the Hammocks. Elaine
I was getting old and crockety. My white hair was just a clue. It was time to make a move. Before I became sad and blue.
My daughter and family live in Elmira. Each one became my apartment scout. They found the Hammocks at Orchard Park. A perfect spot for me- no doubt!
I left my home in North Carolina. I moved to New York State. The Hammocks at Orchard Park became my home. A place I find to be first rate!
I love the spacious grounds, the pond, the fountain, the pool- the geese too. The care and maintenance given the complex keep everything looking "spiffy" and new.
I feel it's safe to walk about. I love the friendly and competent staff. I love watching the children. Their antics sure do make me laugh.
The ice and snow don't stand a chance. The walks and streets are clear and clean. The grass and shrubs are tended to- Summertime is fresh and green.
The holiday get together are fun. Coffee and conversation times are great. The lunch brunch is a friendly group. Food is always yummy- no one's ever late!
I love living at the Hammocks at Orchard Park. These are just a few of the reasons. I mean them all sincerely and I plan on living here for many reasons! G. Sodoma
